SCERT(The State council of Educational Research and Training) is an official body at the state level for providing guidance, support and assistance to the State Education Department in its endeavor to improve the quality of elementary and secondary education and teacher education.Its functions include formulation of curriculum, preparation of textbooks, teachers' handbooks and teacher training. It also enacts as an advising agency for the state Government on policy matters relating to school education.
